Fairfax has a lot of things going for it including many friendly people, shopping, restaurants, bars, theaters and the metro and airport are all extremely close by. On top of that, it's just a short drive to DC for a visit to the city or a quick trip to many vineyards, orchard, farms, parks, or the wilderness to get away and breath some fresh air. I personally enjoy going out to eat at the many different restaurants, biking to Reston and on the W&OD trail and taking trips to local breweries and wineries. My favorite restaurants nearby include: Similans Thai, Ozzies Italian, Coastal Flats, Dogfish Head Ale House, 100 Degrees Chinese Food, Moby Dick's, Uncle Julio's, Whole Foods (their mini-restaurants are great), and you can't leave out Chick-Fil-a!


The neighborhood my home is in is well established. The neighbors are extremely friendly and helpful, and there are a lot of amenities in the neighborhood. If you're a golfer, you get special rates to play the course. The neighborhood gym can replace your gym membership and the pool facilities. tennis/basketball courts and playgrounds are great too! On top of that, if you're a metro rider, you'll never have to drive again since there are stops in the neighborhood that bring you directly to the metro station and other places nearby.


The location of the home and value is what really sold me on purchasing the home. First, it's close to everything for me. It's a quick drive to Reston where I work and not much further to Falls Church where my wife works. Second, grocery stores, Target, Reston Town Center, Fair Oaks Mall, and tons of restaurants were extremely close by. Third, public transportation was easy to use and get to in case i needed to take the metro. Both Vienna and now Wiehle metro are close. Finally, looking in the area and closer to the beltway, I found this neighborhood to be a great value when you consider its proximity to the city, Fairfax County address, its price per square foot, and its relatively low fees considering the amenities you get.


On home is on the top floor and it is great! You get the extra high ceilings and the natural light from the skylights. You also get the extra loft level and huge walk-in closet that only the top floor units have. Finally, being on the top floor means you have no neighbors above you, which means no loud footsteps. The condo was also built with very thick walls, so even though there are units on either side of you, it never felt or sounded like it.
