Space Systems Engineer (PA) Tracking Code 2149 Job Description Join a nationally recognized systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting the Intelligence communitys global ISR Mission. You will perform requirements analysis, develop innovative architectures and analyze potential commercial based systems that would create new capabilities with increased performance and decreased development costs. You will support a Systems Engineering and Integration activity for intelligence programs in the Northern VA area, Work directly with senior government customers and leaders accessing programs capabilities and recommending new courses of action. Key activities include: + Technical and programmatic analysis and assessment of key components and segments that comprise the development of satellite and ground support systems + Initiation, development and mitigation of risk issues and schedule disconnects as well as tracking of key activities for the assigned area of focus + IPTs and Working Groups that directly or indirectly address key activities for the design, development, production and deployment of the satellite system. + Define and conduct analysis of alternatives (AoAs) to develop recommended way ahead + Developed Architectures, CONOPS, System Specifications and Program Plans supporting the acquisition of new space communication capabilities in a time and budget constrained environment + Communications systems engineering + Developing and Reviewing specifications for communication systems (ground, space, UAV) + Familiarity with link performance, interference analysis, and sources of distortion Required Experience + BS or MS in Engineering, Science, a technical field or equivalent experience + Course work in communications systems and signals processing + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite + Ability to present effective briefings and communicate new concepts in a professional and convincing manner + Design and analysis of space and ground support systems + Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required Preferred Experience + Support of IC and DoD space and ground systems Job Location Chantilly, Virginia, United States Position Type Full:Time/Regular Clearance Level Required US Citizenship and active DoD TS/SCI Clearance w/polygraph
