Job Description
The Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Fleet Readiness (OPNAV N83) uses accredited readiness models to make short and long:term predictions about mission capability and costs for Navy ships, aircraft, and expeditionary units. This project develops and programs the modeling and simulation software used to predict and price readiness.
Participate as a full SDLC mid:level developer on a team of analysts, programmers, and customers to define and develop databases and user interfaces involving complex user:defined calculations, conditions, and scenarios. Independently develop components, present results to technical and non:technical customers, and refine work products based on feedback. Provide user analysis and technical trouble:shooting support and document own work.
Security Clearance: Secret
:Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study which provides substantial knowledge useful in managing large, complex AIS projects, is closely related to the work to be automated, and/or in a computer science, information system, a physical science, engineering or a mathematics, intensive discipline, or an applicable training certificate from an accredited training institution. Five (5) years of relative experience can be substituted for a Bachelors Degree.
:Requires at least eight years directly related experience in the design, writing, and testing of computer programs or database maintenance. Also requires comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in all phases of full life cycle applications and systems maintenance, engineering, programming, and analysis.
:4+ years experience in one or more of the following: JavaScript, ColdFusion, Oracle PL/SQL.
:Ability to collaborate with team members and customers.
:Initiative to learn complex models and complex software implementation practices.
:Active DOD Secret Clearance.
:Familiarity with EXTJS Framework, Flex, ActionScript, MS SQL, Git
