Job Description:/h3:
A System Engineering and Technical Advisor (SETA) position for the Ground Enterprise Directorate providing support to the Mission Processing (MP) System Program Office (SPO). Some travel may be required.
* Provides technical support to source selection, providing input and supporting proposals for United States Air Forces initiatives
* Provides technical and programmatic support to MP SPO/SIG/Midas Studies with a focus on developing prototype processing capabilities to support the discovery and innovation mission
* Represents AO to external customers and an extended developer and operator contractor base at multiple, global locations
* Assesses system performance in:house and across the enterprise
* Interfaces with multiple remote:fielded Program Office Innovation and Discovery teams regarding current operations and activities of interest to internal and external mission partners
* Serves as Subject Matter Expert for specific Mission:related aspects of the Studies product line
* Provides
advice/guidance/recommendations to SETA colleagues and government management
* Provide SME support to new government customers during accompanied remote site TDYs
* Mentors junior engineers in aspects of acquisition, performance, and operations
* Coordinates MIPR acceptance through contract ECP
* Drafts task statements and technical evaluation
* Generates SOW/RFPs and conducts proposal evaluation
* Tracks expenditures
* Reviews CDRLs
* Creates technical papers and briefing materials for various high level
forums/presentations and briefing senior leadership
* Provides input for acquisition planning
* Hosts/facilitates senior SPO site visits
* Reviews Request for Changes (RFCs) and participates in RFC Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs)
* Develops CONOPs and program plans
* Provides technical assessments and supporting data for Reviews
* Provides project demonstrations and related briefings
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelors (Technical) Degree and 10:15 years experience in the systems development environment (additional experience may be substituted for degree requirement)
* Experience and knowledge of digital signal processing, remote sensing and space:systems management and collections for SIGINT and other intelligence products.
* Must have strong Mission Management system skills/knowledge
* Must be a strong candidate, working with senior intelligence professionals.
* Must be familiar with the Space System technology, Ground Enterprise Architectures, Signals and Imagery architectures.
* Demonstrated developmental/ systems engineering experience with advanced technologies
* Should be familiar with the activities performed at the NRO in support of this mission area.
* Required working knowledge of the national, operational and tactical intelligence infrastructure available to DoD.
* Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
* Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently with excellent problem solving skills.
* High level of organization, attention to detail and follow:through.
