The Space Account provides specialized engineering, analysis, and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. We support the future of national security:related space systems. The Space Accounts Advanced Analytics group has openings for a junior R and D engineers to conduct analysis and technical advisory services for an IC research and development (R and D) customer. This customer is developing the next generation of IC space systems and ground architectures Roles and responsibilities potentially include:Work side:by:side with existing subject matter experts in orbital mechanics, spacecraft design, optics, Radio Frequency (RF), and modeling and simulationDevelop modeling and simulation tools to assist with analysis of complex, technical problems relating to a wide variety of spacecraft and systemsWork with the customer to explore new missions, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), and architectures to solve some of the hardest intelligence problems facing the nationDevelop algorithms to perform analysis and produce much:needed data productsMaintain and improve large scale simulations to support multiple missionsIntegrate existing models from mission partners into simulationsModel dynamic agent behaviorsEvaluate complex results and determine engineering recommendations based on analysisQuickly translate user needs into effective software solutionsDevelop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, brief government and industry as required Areas of Technical Interest:Electro:optical, RF, and radar sensor systemsSpace systemsEmerging technologiesModeling and simulation software developmentOperations ResearchStatisticsGame TheoryData AnalyticsWargamingRelational databasesGraph theoryBS in relevant degree field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer ScienceSoftware development experience, ideally in modeling and simulationAbility to work with multidisciplinary teams**Must be willing and able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance including polygraph**Pursuit or completion of relevant graduate degreeExperience using C, Python, R, SQL, postgreSQL, linux, TCL/Tk, MATLAB, and/or STKKnowledge of IC systems and terminologyExperience modeling and simulating complex systemsPrevious internship or work experience
