Environmental Consultants and Contractors, Inc., (ECC) a full:service environmental consulting firm providing environmental services in the metropolitan Washington, DC, area seeks a dedicated, intelligent, and energetic individual to join our team as a mid:level Environmental Project Manager. This position requires both technical and managerial expertise.
Responsibilities of this position may include:
x2219; Managing projects involving site investigation and remediation of soil, groundwater, and soil gas for sites with complex
technical/regulatory issues.
x2219; Planning and overseeing field work, including sampling, drilling, well installation, soil, groundwater and soil gas assessments, vapor intrusion assessments, remedial system design, and remedial system construction oversight.
x2219; Designing remedial solutions for sites with contaminated soil, ground water, and soil gas using innovative and emerging remedial treatment technologies as well as traditional systems.
x2219; Managing due diligence assessments consistent with ASTM Phase I and Phase II ESA standards.
x2219; Managing multiple projects within client
scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables.
x2219; Managing field technician scheduling and equipment across multiple projects.
x2219; Preparing technical proposals and participating in business development with existing clients. Maintaining client relationships that generate repeat business.
x2219; Building strong collaborative relationships with fellow employees, clients, and subcontractors.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors or Master Degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related discipline. Environmental field work experience, with four or more years of project management experience for site investigation and remediation projects under regulatory structures found in the Washington DC metro area (DC/VA/MD regulatory agencies). Strong analytical and software skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be committed to organization, planning, and safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols. Valid drivers license and a good driving record. Ability to multi:task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires some physical labor, and occasional short:term travel outside the DC metro area. Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in data management, software languages, marketing, emissions modeling, CAD, or other specific or unique skills.
