Work with collaborative teams to build and further advance software systems and applications.Lead the research, design and development of systems hardware, software, software applications and/or tools for designated programs and subprograms. Work directly with the program team and the programA?s customer program office and technical design agent to ensure that the system design meets the required program specifications and goals. Business development support in the form of proposal responses, white papers, and technology roadmap development. Current Combat systems experienceHardware integration and software development experience is a MUSTExperience leading, supporting, and developing technical teamsInnovation and thought leadershipSuccess in integrating advanced technologies and solutions in a system of systems architecture to accomplish critical customer missionsSuccess on significant programs or projects as a project lead/program technical manager and/or as a program manager with excellent technical and people leadership strengths with proven business experienceDrives the development of new innovative technologies by researching and developing discriminating technologiesDemonstrated ability to conceptualize innovative System and System of Systems solutions through unstructured/non:linear thinkingAble to effectively serve as an advocate for technical solutions and concepts with customer and end usersPossess strong oral and written communication skills.Candidates need to have the balanced technical background to be a decision maker on program technical issues, understand the business aspects, and have the ability to be a strategic/competitive thinker exhibiting an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. *US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred. Candidates must have at least 10 years of demonstrated experience in Navy Combat System design with a strong preference in the Undersea domain. Candidates should also have demonstrated proficiency in system development using COTS processing, storage, software, and networking products.
