Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.As a GDMS CEWS Product Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the outbound marketing activities for your products. You will be responsible for crafting the messaging and positioning for products. Youll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial. In your role as a Product Marketing Manager, you will be the expert in buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the outbound sales channel.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the marketSales enablement : communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your productsProduct launch : plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross:functional implementation of the planMarket intelligence : be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush themDemand generation : develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needsAssists in the formulation of advertising campaigns and approves publicity releases and promotional activitiesSupports creation of business strategies for product line growthDemonstrates understanding of business strategies and technical issues as they relate to the product line business growthDemonstrated knowledge of missions, products and technologies including current and future applicationsDemonstrated understanding of specific areas within assigned market, to include budgets, customer priorities, mission gaps and market dynamicsAble to thrive in a highly interactive team environmentDemonstrates strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to build relationships with customers and internal counterpartsExpected to integrate highly complex activities within their discipline and across functional and project boundariesRegularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several products and/or customersLeads briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representativesDemonstrates and uses a depth of organizational knowledge that results in superior performance in delivery of products, services or proposals to customers or collaboration across functionsWork is reviewed in terms of meeting the organizationA?s objectives and timelinesIn some instances this manager may have subordinate managersRelies on resources external to the department or GDMS for implementationMay have responsibility for managing people, including performance evaluations and pay increase recommendations General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) engineers a diverse portfolio of high technology solutions, products and services that enable customers to successfully execute missions across all domains of operation.
