Job Description:/h3:
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics is seeking a Marketing Coordinator, who will be responsible for administering and maintaining AIAA headquarters e:mail:marketing system to support the growth of AIAAs products and services and the expansion of its outreach programs; maintenance of content and execute SEM/SEO strategies across AIAA microsites for the Institutes five forums; assisting with promotional deliverables through AIAAs e:channels (e.g. web, e:mail, social media, etc.) by combining strategic methods, planning, and ongoing optimization; participating in ideation brainstorms to identify emerging opportunities for promoting AIAAs products and services through online, mobile, social marketing, and new technologies; and tracking product sales and web trends directly associated with marketing efforts and promotions, and preparing reports for Marketing Director.

Digital Strategy
:Manage and track online advertisements and promotions
:Assist with lead acquisition, and help develop digital campaigns that will nurture and grow relationships in new ways
Web/Digital Marketing Development and Maintenance
:Coordinate and implement forum and event content updates with marketing, content development, and event team members
:Optimize forum microsite content and landing pages for SEO, usability, engagement and various goals
Email Marketing
:Design HTML emails that are graphically appealing and format email templates for promotions
:Working with AIAA editors, review/edit for consistent voice/messaging, and coordinate, send and track all promotional emails
:Assist in management of the Informz/email vendor, budget and the email schedule
Reporting and Analysis
:Produce regular traffic and commerce reports from Google Analytics and AdWords for measuring the effectiveness of promotional efforts

Reporting Relationships:

:Reports to Director of Marketing

Position Dimensions:
:Produce all work consistent with AIAA branding and style guide
:Ensure projects achieve the desired results and are completed in a timely manner and within budget
:Work with multiple cross:functional teams (i.e. Design, Communications, IT, etc.) to assist with project management
:Minimal travel required


:Bachelors degree with a preference for marketing, communications, or related discipline

:One or more years of relevant web content management, or online and electronic communications experience
:Solid understanding of the principles of good website design and usability concepts
:High proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
:Mid:level proficiency with Google Tag Manager, Analytics and AdWords
:Mid:level proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS)
:Mid:level proficiency with Adobe PhotoShop and Dreamweaver
:Moderate proficiency with HTML, and XML
:Great positive attitude, work ethic, and the ability to show tremendous initiative
:Ability to keep track of multiple projects and be self:reliant

Additional Skills:
:Excellent research, promotional copywriting, proofreading and editing skills
:Mid:level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
:Mid:level proficiency with an association management system or CRM system (NetForum experience a plus) and email marketing systems (Informz experience a plus)
:Knowledge of how CSS is used in web design
:Good listener with ability to accept and apply constructive feedback
