Estimator/Project Manager

LCI : Virginia office is seeking an Estimator/Project Manager. x200B; Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Heavy Highway Construction with preferred knowledge in Asphalt Paving, Concrete, Drainage, Earth Work, and Utility Work. x200B; LCIs customer base is mostly Private Clients with a large percentage of residential work. x200B; Candidate must have experience in contract negotiations with owner, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. x200B; We require a minimum of 5 years in a project management position specifically related to Heavy Highway Construction. x200B; We REQUIRE working knowledge in maintaining spreadsheets, with advanced working knowledge of creating and maintaining a Critical Path Method (CPM) Project Schedule. x200B; Currently we use the following computer programs for take:off, estimating, and job costing: Excel, Word, Bid2Win, HCSS and AutoCAD; knowledge of these programs is not a requirement but ability to quickly understand and use them is. x200B; Experience directly related to Construction Project Management and/ x200B;or Estimating is a requirement; we have no desire to cross train from another unrelated construction field. x200B; Familiarity with AIA documents, execution of AIA documents is a plus.

LCI is a full service civil site contractor self:performing the following; heavy highway earth work, drainage, concrete, utility, and paving. x200B; Projects include; street construction, parking lots, general construction, and subdivisions. x200B; Experience in residential : homeowner type bidding is a plus.
Detailed Job Description
Candidate will be required to provide weekly/ x200B;monthly schedules and monthly/ x200B;annual sales/ x200B;profit analysis. x200B; Candidate must have a good understating of construction accounting from job costing, progress billing, AIA pay requests, and collections. x200B; Must continuously monitor current projects to ensure they are on time and in budget using a Microsoft Spreadsheet program. x200B; Must be able accurately account for and explain in detail any cost over/ x200B;under runs and make necessary adjustments to the budget and/ x200B;or job schedules. x200B;
Candidate must be able to resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management. x200B; Be able to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks x200B;.
The candidate must be able to work at least 40 hours per week. x200B; Candidate must be able to follow the progress of job from initial contact to closing, as well as scheduling the production of the work during peak season and during time sensitive projects. x200B; x200B; x200B;
Educational Requirements
A four year college degree is required. A degree in civil engineering is preferred but not required. x200B; Advanced degree in Construction Management or Business Degree is a plus. x200B;
This will have a minimum starting salary in the 75,000 to 90,000 depending on experience with earning potential well over 100,000 this is totally dependent on candidates level of experience. A company vehicle will be provided and paid vacations annually after the first 12 months of employment.
Candidate will be required to relocate to the Northern Virginia area within a reasonable proximity to our offices (30:45 minutes). LCI will pay for temporary lodging to allow transition of family of a reasonable time frame not to exceed three months.
Candidate will be required to sign Non:Compete and Non:Disclosure Agreements. Company pays for all continuing education training and workshops costs.
