What you’ll be doing...
The Federal Associate Director is responsible for leading a team of Managing Client Partners and sales professionals supporting the Public Sector market for Verizon Enterprise Solutions. This position oversees business development and sales activities in support of Civilian agencies across the US Federal Government, to include Wireline and Wireless responsibilities supporting the Federal team. Additionally, the Federal Associate Director is dedicated to leading and managing all sales functions with the goal of meeting and exceeding all business metrics/objectives, including revenue growth, sales and segment growth.
The candidate must have Federal domain knowledge to include Federal contract and procurement experience, and be a passionate and proactive visionary in driving the Operational Readiness and Strategic Business initiatives to exceed objectives. The candidate must have proven successful track record with exceeding target in sales activity across multiple products. The candidate must be a strong leader, extremely well organized, analytical, detail-oriented and quality-minded.
The Federal Associate Director will deliver a growth-driving portfolio for the Public Sector customer segments, leveraging all available product capabilities to drive to this objective and meet growth and margin targets.
What we’re looking for...
Provide strategic direction, guidance and management to the Federal Civilian sales team
Generate breakthrough business development ideas and take those ideas from concept through internal approval to externally-qualified opportunities
Regularly communicate sales strategies, initiatives and key segment information to stakeholders
Collaborate with team member to develop new areas initiatives, strong value propositions, innovative sales approaches that grow revenue and customer satisfaction
Meet assigned new business targets for existing and new markets
Monitor sales performance, develop strategies to meet/exceed objectives
Regularly review individual team member performance and progress against strategic plans and develop team members in deficient areas
Aligns daily sales activity to the Verizon Credo
Maintains accurate forecasting metrics and reporting to sales leadership
Directs, coaches and mentors sales team to key performance metrics
Measures effectiveness of sales team customer engagement and relationship development
Matrix manages all stakeholders including Marketing and Product management to align a consistent strategy and execution
Ability and experience in managing expenses
Some travel is required
7 to 10 years sales experience in a leadership role, and experience within Federal is preferred but not required
Bachelor's Degree in business-related discipline; MBA preferred
