Requisition Number 17-0188 Post Date 12/8/2017 Title Scrum Master City Herndon State VA Description This position is accountable for the success all IT projects and initiatives within the Credit Union. This includes planning, execution, and implementation of all projects to deliver intended businessoutcomes, ideally on time, on budget, and within scope according to business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of these projects, the Agile Program Manager is responsible for making appropriate tradeoffs with project teams to mitigate any issues or risks. 1) Strategy and Governance Ensure projects results have an articulated scope with quantifiable business benefit.
Connect project messaging and reporting to strategic business initiatives.
Represent the project at project governance and inter-department forums.
Develop communication plans and interfaces to actively engage business partners.
Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria. 2) Project and Program Delivery Organize project portfolio into Scrum methodology and serve as Scrum Master for each IT delivery.
Define and create project plans for projects, portfolio, and product prioritization and implementation.
Manage all aspects of the project life cycle, and work with team members to oversee all phases until project completion. 3) Implementation Is responsible for the development, implementation, enhancement and support of the Credit Unions core operating system, and many of the credit unions ancillary systems. This position takes ownership of its Credit Union Systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently, recognizing potential system enhancements and working to make those enhancements happen. This includes developing new products for the company, improving workflows and streamlining existing processes. 4) Other duties include: Administrative lead for the Change Control Board, SYM management and monthly Statement review
Serves as primary point of contact for 10+ ancillary system vendors, responsible for troubleshooting and resolving system issues and challenges, system upgrades and overall maintenance of the systems.
Maintains and manages CUs core parameters.
Responsible for identifying, coordinating and conducting system clean-up when defined.
Responsible for reviewing and troubleshooting customer issues received by staff.
Responsible for ensuring proper documentation exists for all department responsibilities, processes and implementations Protect the confidentiality and integrity financial sensitive information and maintain the technical mechanisms of legitimate access and release of the data to meet the requirements of the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (GLBA). Requirements - PMP or Six Sigma Blackbelt Required Education and Experience Preferred Bachelors degree (BA/BS) with a minimum of 4 years professional expertise and demonstrated outcome delivery across different types of high-risk, high-value projects. Agile or Scrum Master certification preferred. Skills Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence, motivate, and mobilize teams and business partners.
Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, and unpredictability.
Excellent task management, organization, and team collaboration skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to intuitively understand how products and processes live in the Credit Union operation system and ancillary systems and how changes to those products and processes will affect each other. Innovative thinking is critical.
Ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task, and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Demonstrate the ability to build collaborative relationships across disciplines; coordinate work done by a team; resolve disputes; and provide leadership to a project team.
Proficient with Project and Portfolio Management Tools (Visio, MS Project, Clarity, etc.).
Familiar with PMI or PRINCE2 certification or equivalent methodology.
Knowledge and expertise in use of project management and SDLC methodologies and tools (i.e. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative).
