Space is a very busy place with about 1500 total (all countries, civil, military, and commercial) working satellites orbiting the Earth, doing their jobs on specific orbital schedules. There are weather, communication, imagery, and navigation satellites orbiting today with more scheduled to launch every year. Each has a job, over a specific area, at a certain time, and their customers count on them. As soon as new customers come online, the satellite time has to be scheduled to provide it. We need to know which satellites we control, that can do what we need, is where we need it, when we need it there. ThatA?s the easy part. Suddenly, someone needs your satellite at your time and the entire schedule has to be replanned in seconds : the fun begins. Responsibilities: The Mission Control SME will:Act as the Product Owner to the Mission Control SME for the satellite scheduling software (SSS) system users and stakeholders to refine, and prioritize customer provided requirements through the design and development phases. Provide ongoing requirements refinement and continuous service improvement. Analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new or modified business information processes. Represent the program to define requirements and SSS business cases to the developers.
