Join Our Petition Circulators Team

A Democratic campaign in Virginia's highly competitive 10th Congressional District is seeking members for its petition circulator team, who will circulate petitions and collect signatures of registered Virginia voters to place the candidate's name on the Democratic primary ballot this year.

Responsibilities:

~ Circulating petitions and collecting signatures at high traffic areas across an assigned region
~ Performing required reporting tasks in a timely and accurate manner
~ Regular and reliable submission of collected materials
~ Swearing of petition affidavits attesting to the validity of the signatures collected

Additional Information:

~ Part-time, limited term position running through the end of February 2018
~ Up to $12 per hour with up to 25 hours per week
~ Flexible hours
~ Evening and weekend availability necessary
~ Opportunity to advance within the campaign organization at the conclusion of the petition process


Qualifications:


1-2 years of campaign or other political experience and a working knowledge of community organizing principles is desired but not required. Applicants with a friendly and outgoing demeanor and who will not be afraid of making an ask of strangers are encouraged to apply.

~ Experience interacting with the public

~ Proven ability to meet assigned goals in a given period of time

~ A track record of working independently while meeting the goals assigned

~An honest and trustworthy reputation

~ Familiarity with the electoral process

~ Ability to plan, prioritize and problem solve in rapidly changing environment

~ Virginia residency and access to a vehicle are required
