The Northrop Grumman Technology Services Sector is looking for a dynamic, innovative leader to be the Director of Technology for Advance Defense Services (ADS) division, a $1.5B division. This is a new position and function that requires a strong technology leader who can mature this capability in the division quickly. The role reports directly to the Vice President & General Manager and will provide key support and partnership to the newly created Technology Services sector technology organization. The Director of Technology is responsible for all aspects of the development and execution of the division's technology strategy and activities The technology function in ADS will be the key to transforming the division portfolio and is directly tied to the strategy of the division and the sector. The role requires the ability to collaborate with senior technology leaders and experts across the company while representing the division and the sector on councils and Business Focus Areas, as well as in key business development efforts. This is an opportunity for an experienced thought leader to assume responsibility for implementing and directing the full range of technology initiatives for the division. The ADS Director of Technology will champion technical innovation; analyze future trends; lead studies of specific technical arenas; and drive the technology to grow the business portfolio. The Director of Technology responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading and collaborating throughout the division/sector and with other functions partnerships to: • Create the technology strategy of the division and aligning the technology and mission solutions with customer needs • Align ADS technology initiatives with the growth priorities of the division • Lead the development of highly differentiated offerings and mission-focused solutions roadmaps for the organization • Develop strong partnerships across the sector and enterprise in the technology community to communicate the division technology differentiators • Support Business Focus Areas and Future Back initiatives • Champion and drive innovation and thought leadership throughout the division • Manage Governance, Processes, Procedures, Tools, IRAD, CRAD, CRADA, TFA, IP, Mission Solutions, SW Sustainment, Innovation Framework execution To be successful, the Director of Technology must be comfortable identifying internal and external strategic and technical issues that could affect growth and profitability, and be a highly effective communicator to executive, technical, and customer audiences.
