This full:time position will report to our Washington, DC area office located in Chantilly, Virginia. For more information on Amec Foster Wheeler, our website at This full:time Construction Scheduler position will be based out of the National Capital Region and work closely with various private:sector, state, local, and federal clients and Amec Foster WheelerA?s nationwide program management resources. These positions require familiarity with the design:build, engineering:procurement:construction (EPC), and design:bid:build procurement and execution for various construction project types, including vertical new construction, building renovation, civil / site infrastructure, pipe rehabilitation, and site remediation. Key ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and maintaining design and construction project schedules, schedule variance analysis and reporting, project planning, and proposal schedule development and support. 5 : 10 years of relevant construction scheduling experienceExtensive experience developing and maintaining cost:loaded, critical path method (CPM) schedules for design and construction projectsAdvanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft ProjectExperience developing project WBS and project coding structuresExperience importing and integrating subcontractor and stakeholder inputs in an enterprise environment, to develop integrated master schedules and reportsExperience conducting schedule analysis and developing variance reportsExperience using and applying industry standard earned value management processes and techniquesStrong attention to detail and excellent verbal / written communication, analytical and problem solving skillsExperience with construction plans and specifications and relating that to project scope, schedule and costUndergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related degree, or equivalent experience in a construction:related positionExperience performing cost tracking and analysis, managing budgets, producing forecasts and performance measurement preferredAACE and / or other professional certifications preferredExperience with private sector and / or U.S. Federal Government projects and contracts (e.g., DoD, GSA, USACE, DHS, USPS, etc.)Proof of U.S. citizenship is required for this positionMust pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Companys driving (MVR) policyWe are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce.
