ManTech is seeking a dynamic Capture Manager to directly support ManTech s Health oriented business activities at our Herndon, VA location. Our Health organization is responsible for providing professional and technical solutions and services across the Federal Health portfolio. This position will directly support capture activities at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and its constituent operating divisions such as CMS, AHRQ, FDA, HRSA, NIH, and CDC. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales for the business unit, this highly visible position will work with the most senior managers across ManTech to develop strategy and drive business growth.
This position will work closely with the appropriate ManTech business programs to provide strategic direction and leadership; develop comprehensive and compelling solutions; support qualification of new business opportunities; develop creative and innovative capture strategies; and assist in the preparation of winning proposals for our government clients.
ManTech is seeking a seasoned professional who understands the mission and vision of the Federal Health market segment, specifically HHS. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated understanding of strategic information technology objectives, including secure and trusted IT environments, data quality, availability, software development lifecycle services, and interoperability. The ideal candidate also will have familiarity with the mission support requirements of HHS and its role in supporting healthcare delivery, healthcare insurance, public health, integrity, and life sciences.
Responsibilities include market analysis, strategic business planning, and capture strategy/solution development, leading to award of major programs. The position will include oversight of customer contact and positioning, teaming interactions, and coordination with other internal business development and sales resources available across ManTech. Experience with customer relationship management and opportunity tracking, as well as experience with a variety of contract types including cost plus fixed fee, fixed price, award fee, and performance based contracting is key. Familiarity with major acquisition vehicles is essential.
**Required Skills**
Bachelor s degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience. Prior HHS, especially CMS and FDA, business development/capture management experience is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered, particularly with former government service.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and lead/execute disciplined business development and proposal efforts for large and/or complex captures. The candidate must be an organized, aggressive, and highly-skilled professional with proven success in selling in a highly competitive IT and professional service markets to federal clients. It is preferable that the candidate has held a lead role in a government IT and professional services sales organization.
Requires Bachelor s degree or equivalent in a technical field and ten to twelve years of experience.
