Job Description:/h3:
Draeger is a growing ignition interlock company seeking qualified technicians in the Chantilly, VA area. The ignition interlocks are breath alcohol testers wired into vehicles that require a breath test before the vehicle will start.
In this role, you will:
:Field advanced customer support calls that would have otherwise been directed to the District Service Manager or Territory Supervisor. Outcome: Ensures great customer service and support throughout the organization.
:Offer
Installation/Electronic Wiring support for
unfamiliar/difficult vehicles if technical support is unable to support needs of local service centers. Outcome: Network of support increases productivity and efficiency, leading to growth in business.
:Cover/fill in at company owned facilities in the event of, but not limited to the following: hiring transitions, unforeseen emergencies, audits, and/or at the request of the direct manager. Outcome: Ensures no loss in business during events listed above.
:Train newly hired local
service/calibration technicians for a minimum of 4 weeks after their initial training at DI headquarters. Outcome: Training is completed in a real life environment.
:Install, monitor and remove interlocks from client cars. Install client on selected date or no later than 1 day after. Download client data from interlocks as scheduled, while collecting payments. Outcome: Accurate data
collection/transmission in accordance with state policy resulting in state compliance to avoid decertification. Ensures schedule of revenue flow along with top tier customer service.
:Answer all incoming telephone calls expediently, transferring calls to staff or taking complete messages when appropriate. Make follow:up calls with all new scheduled installs before and after initial service takes place. Offers 24:hour emergency customer support as scheduled. Outcome: Great customer service equals greater client base and therefore increased revenue. Great customer service is valued off of emergency situations.
:Maintain clear and accurate records and files. Prepare bank deposits, as required, along with daily reconciliations. Ensure all client files remain in a locked file cabinet and all client data remains secure at all times. Outcome: Ensures all State and Draeger procedures have been followed.
:Submits quarterly progress report(s) to immediate manager. Outcome: Development trends can be analyzed through these in depth reports.
:Prepare and maintain all equipment and supplies, including inventory of interlocks handsets, control boxes and helix cables. Outcome: Maintain proper inventory to ensure proper supply and demand flow.
:Fill marketing material within a 30 mile radius of home office. This includes but is not limited to Probation Offices, Pre:trial Offices, Courts, Drug Courts, Drug/Alcohol Classes, Service Centers, etc. Make routine fills a minimum of once per 3 months. Outcome: Ensures end user is receiving marketing material regarding our product, maximum amount of market share possible.
:Spanish as a second language is helpful.

Requirements:
* Automotive experience
* Customer service experience
* Minimum 1 year of experience in the ignition interlock industry or minimum of 5 years experience in automotive mechanic, ignition interlock and/or electronic field
* Soldering automobile accessories
* Ability to write effective emails through Outlook
* Some knowledge of Excel
* Ability to handle cash and reconcile
* Valid Drivers License
* High School Diploma
* Must be able to pass a pre:employment background and drug test
