The Care
Coordinator/Appointment Fulfillment Specialist serves as the first impression for new patient prospects who inquire to schedule an initial consultation to obtain treatment for neck and/or back pain. This role is responsible for converting business development prospects generated by marketing leads or referrals to new patient status. The Care
Coordinator/Appointment Fulfillment Specialist is an integral aspect of the sales cycle and growth of new patient volumes for this dynamic, fast:paced medical practice. The Care
Coordinator/Appointment Fulfillment Team is responsible for scheduling patients for five spine surgeons and two pain management physicians.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
:Provide the best customer service experience possible in line with our mission, vision, and core values
:Ability to convert marketing generated or referral prospects into new patients
:Responsible for coordinating all aspects of scheduling prospects initial consultation, setting expectations on how the process will work, and detailing their insurance coverage, as well as answering questions and addressing concerns
:Effectively Cross:sells services and practice specialties
:Listens attentively, is empathetic, and solution oriented
Utilizes insurance verification software to provide prospect with detailed understanding of their specific insurance plan coverage as it pertains to their financial obligation of the initial consultation
Manages incoming patient inquiries over the phone and electronically, and efficiently schedules initial consultation, with mandated documentation and follow up activities
Demonstrates leadership qualities by driving/navigating conversation and acts as concierge to reroute prospects as necessary
Answering phones in a call center environment while simultaneously entering data into two software systems
:Capable of working independently in a team:centric call center environment
Skills/Qualifications/Behaviors:
:Minimum two years of customer service and/or sales experience.
:Ability to quickly assess prospective patients and tailor approach to optimize conversion probability
:Conscientious, thorough, tolerant, and supportive
:Operate calmly and efficiently in a busy and highly dynamic environment while projecting professionalism.
:Exhibit empathy and compassion toward prospects
:Intuitive reasoning and sound decision making
:Persuasive ability to promote the organization and its patient services
:Technologically savvy and ability to adapt to new platforms as they arise
:Ability to work on the phone for long periods of time
:Attention to detail / accurate data entry of prospect demographics
:Ability to manage multiple new prospects while nurturing/follow up on multiple existing leads
:Salesforce experience and/or eClinicalWorks a plus
:Spanish speaking a plus
