Applied Memetics LLC (AM LLC) is seeking a System Architect to support a Veterans Affairs program. The system architect plans, builds, and maintains networking and computer systems in coordination with other organizational components. This role supports the installation of hardware and software and may entail technical research and development, the introduction of new applications for process improvement or long:term system road mapping. Project Overview The Clinical Knowledge Management (CKM) program is part of Veterans Affairs Connected Health Office (CHO) that provides benefits and services to Veterans. A primary goal of the CHO is to design and implement user:friendly, high:quality mobile devices, software, and services for Veterans and their medical caregivers. Specifically, the CKM program ensures a seamless clinical, portfolio, architectural, and operational optimization of these mobile health applications. General Requirements:Ensuring that client needs are metOffering technical support and creating installation instructions for usersMinimum 10 years of experience as a team member and subject matter expert in an Agile/Scrum software development environmentExcellent communication skills and a good command of the English languageQualifications:The system architect must have extensive experience in:Interfacing with the user(s) and sponsor(s) and all other stakeholders to determine their (evolving) needsGenerating the highest level of system requirements based on the users needs and other constraints such as cost and scheduleEnsuring that high:level requirements are consistent, complete, correct, and operationally definedPerforming cost:benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functionsMaking maximum use of commercial off:the:shelf or already developed componentsInterfacing with the design and implementation engineers and architects so that any problems arising during design or implementation can be resolved in accordance with the fundamental design concepts, as well as user needs and constraintsGenerating a set of acceptance test requirements, together with the designers, test engineers, and the user to determine that all high:level requirements have been met, especially for the computer:human:interfaceGenerating products such as sketches, models, an early user guide, and prototypes to keep the user and the engineers constantly up to date and in agreement on the system to be provided as it is evolvingEnsuring that all architectural products and products with architectural input are maintained in the most current state Educational Requirements: BachelorA?s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience or equivalent **Experience working in federal government environments is preferred.*
