The individual will be responsible for manageing a group of computers within a dynamic lab environment spanning multiple security enclaves in support of engineering and development efforts. Candidates should have an understanding of domain administration running Microsoft Windows based server Responsibilities and Requirements include the following:General Administration of Microsoft Windows based servers, desktops, and peripherals on both physical and virtual servers.An understanding of Active Directory Components to include Group Policy, Account stall standard computer hardware, operating systems, layered products, and updates and patches following standard configuration and security rules. May require occasional after hours to supportSets up administrator and service accounts.Provide Assistance in Property Management. Inventory, Un/Racking of Equipment, stage/prep/ship.Participates in special projects as required.1. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. 2. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems. 3. Sets up administrator and service accounts. 4. Maintains system documentation 5. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. 6. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. 7. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. 8. May program in an administrative language. 9. Develops and implements testing strategies and document results. 10. Provides advice and training to end:users. 11. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. 12. Participates in special projects as required. 1. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support. 2. Knowledge of related hardware and software. 3. May require professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment.Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.2:5 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis. This position requires the candidate to be able to lift 75lbs.
