AWS is seeking an independent, passionate, and deeply experienced professional to lead the AWS Security Vulnerability Management Team. This role will provide thought leadership, portfolio management and technical guidance on security issues across AWS. The ideal candidate should be a technically experienced and innovative security professional who has the ability to handle a wide range of security requirements and can translate those requirements into operational processes and procedures for cloud computing and is able to communicate these at executive levels. The position, as part of the AWS Security team, will also be responsible for managing a team responsible for managing, driving, tracking, and resolving identified security issues across AWS. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: : Be and remain connected with industry trends and security events to aid in the development of security solutions and practices. : Manage team of technical program managers. Manage and develop the team, including hiring, retention, performance management, mentoring and capability / skill development. : Work directly with Service and support teams to help address security direction and processes. : Evaluate complex business and technical requirements, and communicate inherent security risks and solutions to technical and non:technical business owners. : Establish consistence project management processes, standards and guidelines in the execution of program wide security efforts. Engage AWS global teams as needed with a focus on results. : Translate security and technical requirements into business requirements and present to the relevant leadership of service teams. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: : Minimum 8:years of information security or related experience : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or other related fields : Experience in management of technical teams: Experience in management of technical teams : Extensive project leadership experience : Skilled in risk management, business risk analysis and making complex business/risk trade:off recommendations and decisions : Executive:level written and verbal communication skills : Excellent leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills : Results oriented, high energy, self:motivated : Clear understanding of cloud computing services/deployment architecture : Demonstration of innovative security approaches in non:traditional IT environments (cloud) : Experience and proficiency in public speaking *MVP221982 This position requires the applicant selected to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility and access. A US Government administered polygraph examination will be required. TS/SCI eligibility is not required to start; however, the applicant selected will be subject to a Single:Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified national security information. Applicants with a current SSBI, SBPR, or PPR, may be eligible for crossover in accordance with ICPG 704.4.
