The Network Engineer (Customer Interfacing) will work directly with our client to gather functional and technical requirements, craft and engineer viable solutions, take part in design meetings, develop detailed plans and reports, and provide briefings presenting results and solutions to our client. The Network Engineer will perform network assessment and site surveys at on customer sites, integrate and coordinate with customerA?s technical representatives, build network plans and designs, and develop reports to present results. They will also coordinate, support and perform the configuration, administration, installation and provisioning, and in:depth trouble:shooting and repair on all projects using traditional network (Cisco) and/or GPON system for DoD clients. Develop network designs for new Marine bases including GPON access and distribution, WAN and core switches, and DWDM transport.Collect and review artifacts as required to support the development of the associated C and A package(s).Assist with the development and delivery of a Telecommunications Masterplan to include a detailed network design and define the strategic plan for execution of projects associated with telecommunications deployments at customer sites. Develop and draft project plans that define the project execution in terms of project organization, communications, POA and M, technical approach, risk, and escalation procedures. Review and analyze existing network infrastructures.Work with SMEs for other systems (Access Control, IDS, AV, and Surveillance, etc) and ensure required network requirements are understood, properly accounted for in overall design, and implemented.Create implementation approaches/plans including major phases, required roles, and tasks.Provide device configurations for network equipment based on architecture and functional requirements.Design, engineer, configure and install complex routing and switching solutions, wireless solutions, VoIP solutions, MPLS solutions, Unified Communications Solutions, Cisco Nexus Data Center Switching Solutions.Active DoD Secret ClearanceBachelor or Associates Degree in Related Field; or related experience in network engineeringMin 3:5 YearsA? experience designing / installing / configuring / troubleshooting network environmentsDoD Cyber Security ExperienceGPON operational and maintenance supportGPON, DWDM, Active (Cisco) and Cyber Security experienceCCNA Security, Security Plus, CCNP R and S (or CCDP)Knowledge base experience in switching, routing, enterprise architectures, multicast, and network troubleshootingWAN experience including the use of point to point VPNs, MPLS and coordinating circuit installation with vendorsAbility to travel to client sites in Guam/Tinian Preferred Skills:Tellabs GPON certificationCisco certifications and experience on the Cisco NEXUS platformVMWare certificationsIndustry firewall certification
