The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and be someone who has a proven track record of developing training content and delivering training to others. WeA?ve experienced rapid growth in the demand for a wide range of training courses. To meet these needs the Infrastructure Operations Training team has been tasked with creating blended training programs the support employees working within our Amazon Data Centers, globally. The successful candidate will have an electrical or engineering background, excellent writing skills, and the ability to translate complex technical content into easy:to:understand training. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have training or technical documentation experience, and above all will have a passion for learning and teaching others. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:Act as a training subject matter expert for the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment within our data centers.Provide practical, hands:on training for Infrastructure Operations teams.Train employees on how to safely operate and maintain data center critical systems, which includes stand:by diesel generators, PLC Switchboards, UPSs, PDUs, VLA Batteries and associated systems.The primary responsibilities for Training Specialist include:Delivering instructor led training, workshops, webinars and other learning events for Infrastructure Operations teams.Collaborating with training team members to ensure training classes are scheduled in accordance with our global curriculumCreating and updating training content, assessments and practical training to further enhance our training curriculumReviewing relevant training content prepared by other members of the training team and supplying timely feedbackMonitoring the UPS fundamentals training program for Infrastructure Operations teams.Assisting in establishing an in house training facility for continuous learning.Assisting the Technical Writers to develop emergency operating procedures for data center critical systems.Providing technical assistance to infrastructure operations teams as requiredWorking with management to coordinate training exercises and drills.Preparing training facilities and coordinating practical training.Overseeing small training projects, including daily/weekly reporting responsibilitiesBasic Qualifications Experience with electrical testing procedures such as power quality (wave:form capture, full load banking, monitoring, thermography (infrared scans and thermal imaging), Harmonics (THD), breaker testing.Understands critical load calculations, PUE, BMS monitoring and controls (DDC, PLC, SCADA, EPMS, etc.)Experience delivering instructor led trainingUnderstands the content development process and hands on experience creating training aids, training materials and/or written instructions/proceduresPreferred Qualifications Qualified in a relevant electrical/mechanical/engineering discipline3:5 years data center experience2:5 years training or technical writing experience
