IQ Computer Services is looking for a computer technician intern who is interested in pursuing an opportunity to support and assist our Information Technology company with a wide range of projects related to our internal processes and client support. You will learn and develop skills in customer services, computer troubleshooting, networking and security. You will interact with your supervisor and other staff on how to improve documentation and planning, functionality and design. You will also have the ability to work independently. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. The computer technician intern will learn how to take his or her knowledge and skills from the classroom and directly apply them to a production environment.

You Will Learn How To:
● Repair Laptop and Desktop PCs and Mac
● Create work orders, sales receipts and other documents.
● Capture client information and product specifications
● Network desktop, laptops and services, and enable new capabilities for the existing networks
● Secure data from loss using encryption and data backup and replication

What We Are Looking For:
● Strong passion for technology and learning
● Above average knowledge of computer systems and productivity software
● Basic knowledge of internet and research techniques
● Practical knowledge of networking principles
● Experience not required
● Enrolled college student or recent graduate majoring in computer science or networking

Internship Details:
This internship requires an 8-week commitment. IQ Computer Services internships require a minimum of 20 hours per week and interns may not be in the office more than 8 hours per day. The internship is located in Alexandria, VA, 15 minutes from DC.

● Part-time (20-30 hrs. per week) $50 per month stipend
● Full-time (30-40): $100 per month stipend
● Local travel expenses are also reimbursed, up to a maximum of $20 per day
